Self Guided Walks

All the walking trails are natural under foot, with tree roots and rocks present, thus becoming slippery in wet weather. The Mountain Trail can be quite steep in sections and crosses several rock streams and will be slippery in wet weather. Suitable footwear is advised. Take a picnic hamper and visit one of our picnic spots along the Mossman River or up to Figtree rapids.

Scheduled yoga classes are held in the open-air Pavilion. Enjoy an authentic spiritual yoga experience in our natural tropical rainforest setting. Prior bookings are essential.

Daily Shuttle to Port Douglas

Take advantage of our daily scheduled shuttle to Port Douglas. The main attraction is Four Mile Beach, a pristine strip of palm-fringed, white sand which begins at the eastern end of Macrossan Street. Macrossan Street also offers boutique shopping, wining and dining. On the western end you'll find the picturesque Dickson Inlet and Reef Marina.

Our canoes and kayaks are located in front of the main Lodge near the main billabong. The Billabong, just past River Treehouse 14, is excellent for snorkeling and is home to freshwater turtles, eels, Jungle Perch as well as our shy resident platypus. The river in front of the main Lodge is also suited for snorkeling and make sure you wear fins for swimming against the current.
